Description

The Dutch Bucket Hydroponic System has long been acclaimed for its advantages in small- and large-scale hydroponic projects alike. The system is famous mainly for its ability to fit into minimal gardening spaces and its layout flexibility, making it suitable for hobbyists to commercial greenhouse growers. It is also known for its high yield and low water usage, making it a very eco-friendly option when it comes to hydroponic farming.

When being used, the bucket is filled with either coco peat, LECA (lightweight expandable clay aggregate) or perlite, or combinations of substrates, making the system flexible to many hydroponic growing styles. The bottom 2 litres can be filled with stone or LECA to help with drainage, if required. It is ideal for growing heavy plants with an aggressive root system, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, chillies, peppers and strawberries.

Manufactured from polypropylene, using the injection-moulding process, the bucket is available in two sizes: a black, 10-litre bucket for indoor use and a beige, 11-litre bucket for use in hot greenhouses. Each bucket comes with a complete siphon elbow, but irrigation lines and fittings are not included and will need to be purchased separately. Both sizes are sold in bundles of 10 or 50, or full pallets of 608 buckets.
