Square Pots with Grooves are manufactured from polypropylene plastic, using the injection-moulding process, which makes them strong, sturdy and durable, with a long lifespan and suitable for multiple uses. The grooves are designed to train roots down towards the drainage holes, whereupon encountering air at these openings, they are ‘root pruned’ to help develop stronger, denser root systems. The grooves help reduce the roots from spiralling inside the pot and the plants from becoming ‘root-bound’.
These pots can accommodate just about any plant type, while still ensuring optimal drainage and aeration to promote a healthy root system and vigorous plant growth. The chief advantage of square pots is that they can be placed ‘pot to pot’, ensuring optimal usage of available space and making them ideal for high-density plantings in greenhouses, nurseries and grow rooms.
The four sizes of 13 cm, 15 cm, 18 cm and 22 cm are available to cater for a range of different plant sizes. Each size is sold in bundles of 10 or 100 pots, with the 13 cm also available as a pallet of 6 000, the 15 cm as a pallet of 5 250, the 18 cm as a pallet of 3 000 and the 22 cm as a pallet of 2 000 pots.
