Bato Square Pots with Legs are pots with net bases and raised legs that assist with free drainage from the pot. The raised legs ensure no holes are blocked by direct contact with the weed mat or nursery floor, which can impede drainage. By removing the root zone from the floor or soil, the legs also reduce the possibility of disease transfer from the soil to the pot. The net bases and raised legs also allow air movement to the substrate, facilitating good aeration of the growing medium and some root pruning, whereby, as roots encounter open air, they stop growing and begin to branch behind the ‘air-pruned’ tips. This process reduces root spiralling and helps develop strong, dense, healthy root systems.
Made from durable, recycled polypropylene, and manufactured using the injection-moulding process, these pots come in the six sizes of 1.8 l, 3.2 l, 4.7 l, 7 l, 10 l and 25 l, the 3.2 litre pot being the only one without the raised leg design. All the sizes are available in bundles of 10 or 100 pots, with the 1.8 l also available as a pallet of 8 400, the 3.2 l as a pallet of 3 640, the 4.7 l as a pallet of 2 040, the 7 l as a pallet of 2 100, the 10 l as a pallet of 1 400 and the 25 l as a pallet of 603 pots.
